Fourth installment in my series 10 Ways to Beat Garden Withdrawal in Winter…
#7:  Buy lots of cut flowers. Bunches of Ranunculus are my favorite cut flowers at this time of year.  They last a long time - usually at least a week if not more.  They are modern yet also old-fashioned, so they work in almost any setting.  And it always blows me away when you see how many petals are packed into each flower.

In Boston/Cambridge/Somerville, the best place to buy cut flowers is the Brattle Square Florist in Harvard Square.  They aren’t friendly, but they have one the best selections of fresh cut flowers in New England.
Winston Flowers is another great spot for cut flowers in Boston, especially for seeing the latest trends in the florist industry.  But their high prices are a big turn off for me.
