This morning as I was watering the garden in the sweltering heat, a woman in the building next to ours opened her window.  She yelled “That is just so beautiful.  You are doing a great job.”

It sounds so cheesy, but it’s moments like those that make gardening in the city worthwhile.  The delicious veggies and flowers are nice perks, but knowing that others in your local community appreciate and enjoy your work is what really matters to me.
